Unique man – unique wines
My grandfather used to tell me: Matjaž, you have to remember, wine is made of grapes, so we should always drink it with respect. These words remained with me and they shape/form up my entire philosophy of production and attitude towards wine. With years of experience I am getting to know the deeper meaning and new dimensions of understanding wine and life.
I grew up in a family that has passed the knowledge of wine production through many generations. I believe the quality of wine is a result of maintaining contact with nature and somehow the transfer of life into vineyard, to the wine and in ourselves. The quality of wine is not a result of usage of oenological assets and expensive technology. The main mission of our cellar development is to find a feeling for the people and the nature; this is also the concept of a quality of our wines.
My focus is to work exclusive with wines of the highest quality, which are intended only to selected customers. Our wine is not mass produced, but unique wine produced for special customers who want great aroma and also a passion, pleasure, health and nature-perfection. The privilege is to be able to enjoy and understand wine. Wine is the drink of God; therefore it has to be consumed with great respect. Wine is the gift of nature and it is intended for our favorite moments in life. Wine is the drink that teaches and unites us. It is a lifelong process.
My mission is to produce wine for you and for you only. I want to select a handful of people to whom I will dedicate my vineyards, passion and knowledge. I want to produce wine which will be intended only for them. I will teach them how to understand and praise what will be their own wine and take them to the world of infinity. This is my mission.
